Services typically last 60 minutes, with 45 minutes in between services for fellowship and connection.
We begin with announcements of upcoming events and things you might want to know about the life of our church between Sundays. We sing several worship songs before a 30-minute message. We end with another song and blessing. Sometimes there are missionary moments, or special announcements. We celebrate Communion on the first Sunday of each month.
We’re pretty casual up here in the Northwoods. Flannel and jeans are a staple, even from the pulpit. We want you to feel comfortable while also honoring our Lord and Savior. We’d rather have you worshiping with us in your work clothes, than staying at home washing your Sunday best.
We have Children’s Church at both of our campus locations. St Germain offers it at their 10:15 service. Children stay in the sanctuary during singing and are dismissed during the message so they can learn the bible with age-appropriate lessons. Nursery is available for the entire service up to age 2. A cry room is also available in the back of the sanctuary.
Communion is a sacred time that we celebrate on the first Sunday of each month. It is a time for believers to remember the sacrifice of our Savior. It is open to all believers—you do not have to be a member of our church to participate. We pass plates with the elements and take them together during the communion liturgy, with quiet times of prayer throughout.
Jesus talked a lot about giving but he also rebuked the Pharisees for focusing so much on monetary sacrifices, while ignoring other Godly tenets of justice, mercy, and compassion. Jesus didn’t speak about money because he needs our money, rather because he knew that where our treasure is, there is also our heart, Matthew 6:21.
While we encourage you to participate in the biblical principle of giving, we do not pass plates during service. We have an offering box in the back of the sanctuary to drop off an envelope. We also have an online giving option for your convenience.
We welcome you with open arms! Jesus actually spent most of his time with unbelievers. He got to know them, talked with them, and loved them. We know that each person that enters our doors is at a different point in their faith journey and we want to help everyone take their next steps of faith, even if that means asking questions, facing fears, and tackling doubts. Our heart is that you get to know Him through our love. So, please, join us!
